The guy I am dating right now is a guy that I met on a free online dating site that my friend told me about. I decided it was time for me to get back out into the world now that I am divorced. I was with my husband for almost 11 years before we decided to get a divorce. I think what our problem was is that we just grew apart, we didn't seem to have that much in common anymore. We tried to hold on to the marriage by going to counseling, but that didn't seem to work either. We had a child together, and we both had children from previous marriages. We didn't want to put our son through all the emotional torment that accompanies divorce, but I think it was the better choice for him in the long run. Who wants to live in a house where your parents are always arguing and yelling at each other. That is not a healthy lifestyle for a child, or for anyone.

So, being on the free online dating site was an eye opener for me, because I realised that are a lot of single men my age that are trying to pick up the pieces or their lives like I am. People who just want to find the right person for them and maybe eventually get married and enjoy growing old together. There is nothing wrong with wanting that. A lot of the guys that fit my preferences in their profile, also have children. Which for me that is great, I love children.

The guy I'm seeing right now as three children of his own from his previous marriage. He has a little girl that is the same age as my son. Which is a good thing, if things get serious, my son and his daughter will have someone to play with when we spend time together.

I'm not looking for a marriage proposal from this guy, but if things seem to progress and it does come up, I might be willing to think about it. Free online dating sites are so popular now then they used to be. I think the reason is that of course the Internet is just so big and has so many opportunities are available now. I'm glad on got on the free online dating site that I did, because I see a bright future for myself.
