When I was nineteen years old I left college with two A levels in French and English Literature. I joined a newspaper office as a trainee newspaper reporter. My colleague Leanne encouraged me that it would be fun if I went on a blind date.

Well I really didn't know what to expect. I turned up wearing a red party dress and a man wearing jeans and a skirt turned up. He said his name was Nigel. He had blond hair and blue eyes. I didn't like him all that much.

Leanne encouraged me to go speed dating. I went to a hall and sat down at table number seven. A guy with ginger wavy hair sat opposite me and he was also number seven. A bell had rang and I had two minutes to get to know that guy. I liked number seven and put a tick next to his name which was Terry. Later that evening I met number eleven. His name was Claude. He had black curly hair and a gorgeous French accent. That evening made me feel so much more confident at the dating game.

I met up with Terry and he took me ice skating. That had been so very much fun. I liked the sweet kiss he had given my lips at the end of our date. I had just one date with Claude and he seemed really sexy. I felt that he was simply too hot to handle. He gave me a hug that felt like electricity had charged it.

Leanne seemed pleased that I was getting on better with dating. I asked her how she had got her boyfriend from and she said The Softies Dating Site. She explained that young professionals liked to join that dating site. I thought I might join that wonderful sounding dating site. I had been shocked to see that the membership fee to the Softies Dating Site was fifty pounds. I joined it and wrote my profile.

Terry phoned me and said that he had been away on a business trip. He said to make up for it I should have a present. He handed me a little black velvet box and inside it was a gold necklace with a purple flower jewel. I gave him a sweet kiss and a dreamy hug. He and I began dating so I didn't bother with The Softies Dating Site. Terry makes such a fantastic boyfriend and I hope he and I will last forever.
